Two toned heels

Jane Debster Chapter heels in camel/black sz 6 (36) here

There's something about two-toned shoes that always look so classic and oh-so-Chanel. This style has actually been on my radar for a while so I'm absolutely thrilled to be able to partner with Sandler Shoes to feature their Jane Debster Chapter Heels and style a few different looks here. Whilst these shoes absolutely look like they were born to be worn for the office, I can also imagine wearing them on the weekend for an elevated casual chic style.

Firstly, these shoes pretty much go with any office outfit, but if you're stuck for outfit ideas then you can't go wrong with a sweater and pencil skirt combination for a warm winter outfit for the office. The houndstooth sweater I'm wearing here is from H&M last year and unfortunately I can no longer see it on their website, though given it's such a classic style I should hope that they would be restocking it eventually.

2. Casual weekend

For the weekend, swap the pencil skirt for your favourite pair of jeans and voila, the shoes immediately elevate your casual weekend outfit.

In terms of the shoes themselves, they have an almond shaped toe with adjustable slingback strap. The camel colour has a slight pinkish undertone, rather than a yellow undertone.  I took my usual size (6 aka 36) and would say they are true to size. The block heel is 6cm and comfortable height to walk in.

However, during my test run wearing them out for a quick grocery store trip, I noticed a couple of downsides. The first one being that the left heel strap kept slipping off my foot but no problem on my right heel, so I'm wondering whether one of left foot is half a size smaller than the right? The second thing is that I would recommend to break the shoes in, as the leather is not as soft and supple as my other pair of Jane Debster ballet flats, but because it's an all leather upper and leather lining, I'm sure after a while the leather will be nice and soft to wear.

Jane Debster Chapter heels: leather upper, leather lining and sock, synthetic sole

The Chapter Heels come in four different colours ways: camel/black, black/black, ivory/black and nude. The RRP is $199.95 but you might be able to find them on sale from Sandler, Myer, or The Iconic at some point, particularly if you also use cashback programs such as Shopback to receive additional cashback bonus. Whilst the price point may seem a little steep compared to some other more affordable options - like this one from ASOS or this one from Atmos&Here, the JD Chapter heels are made of leather upper and leather lining, whereas most other affordable versions I've come across have synthetic lining. This is purely my personal preference, but I do find that my toes 'breathe' a lot better if the shoes are 100% leather.
